I ran across this while on slave-labor duty. From what I can gather, its a website business started by a guy, Mr D, who sells both tuxedos and camping supplies. Not surprisingly, the company and Mr D are located in Riverside. As you can very well see, the “top-ten products” list includes only seven items, items that can only be used on girl scout outfits or to heat shit over an open fire. Tuxedos, really?
One of my favorite outlets of procrastination is going through all the old photos and videos I have on my computer. I came across a few videos Brie and I had taken this past Christmas in San Francisco. Winter weather is upon us now in Sydney, so I’m feeling extra nostalgic about what is now one of my favorite Christmas memories.
This was an awful night to go get a Christmas tree, but being a die-hard xmas fan I went anyways (and forced brie to come too). It was raining, of course, and strapping a 7-foot Douglas fir to the roof racks of my Focus made for a sappy mess. But once we got home and made a delicious elixir of coffee, peppermint mocha creamer, and a little too much Baileys, the fun started.
Brie started making up tree-decorating regulations, I kept “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” on repeat, and we both ended up on the floor after our graceful renditions of the Nutcracker ballet.
I miss everything about that night. Christmas music, my old apartment, peppermint mocha creamer, San Francisco, my car, the convenience of a 12-cup coffee maker, and of course my best friend.
Tonight’s the first night in my 5 month that I’m officially homesick.
So….This is love
Uhhhh did you know Mamak is open until 2am Friday and Saturday! Danger!
